It is one of the questions we are asked most. The honest answer: it depends on what you want, how much time you have, and how tired you are when you arrive. Here is how we think about it.
3–4 nights: a great start
Three nights is our minimum. The first day is for arriving — the drive into the hills, a first afternoon class, an early night. By the second morning you have stopped checking your phone quite so often. By day three you have a feel for the rhythm.
Short stays suit people who are new to yoga and meditation, fitting a retreat into a longer trip, or simply wanting a reset.
6–7 nights: go deeper
This is the length we suggest most often. Around day four the practice stops feeling new, the daily rhythm starts to carry you, and you stop planning what to do next. A full week gives you time to enjoy that, rather than leaving just as it starts.
10+ nights: truly transform
Longer stays are where routines stick. Ten days of 7:30am practice is long enough for it to feel normal — which makes it much easier to keep going at home.
Our advice
Start with the time you have. Everyone joins the same daily rhythm, whatever their stay length, and arrival dates are flexible. If you would like to stay longer once you are here, just ask — we will extend if there is space.
