A quiet cup of tea on the net hammock overlooking the garden and hills

A day at True Nature

Practice, food, rest, repeat. Here is the daily retreat schedule.

The daily retreat schedule

Every day has the same easy shape. Yoga and meals happen at set times; everything else is optional. Times can shift a little with the seasons.

We keep a gentle morning silence until 9:15am, so the first part of the day stays spacious and quiet.

  1. Wake up

Birdsong, fresh air and the mountains. The roosters may beat your alarm.

  2. Morning yoga

A Hatha or Vinyasa flow class to wake the body up.

  3. Breakfast

Fruit from the garden, granola, eggs, tofu, smoothie bowls — and coffee.

  4. Optional activity

Ice bath, a waterfall trip, a temple visit or the elephant sanctuary. Or nothing at all.

  5. Lunch

Home-cooked Thai vegetarian food at the long table.

  6. Free time

Rest, read, journal, walk, swing in a hammock, try the slackline, find a cat.

  7. Afternoon yoga

A slower Yin or restorative class as the heat drops.

  8. Sunset

The sky usually puts on a show. Grab a good spot.

  9. Dinner

Everyone around one big family table.

  10. Lights out

Early nights are very popular here.
