TTC frequently asked questions

Do I need to be an experienced yoga practitioner?
We generally recommend at least one year of regular yoga practice before joining. You do not need to be advanced or "flexible". If you are unsure, get in touch and we will talk it through.
Is the training registered with Yoga Alliance?
Yes. True Nature is a Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga School (RYS 200). Graduates can register with Yoga Alliance as RYT 200.
How many students are in each training?
A maximum of 20. We keep groups small so everyone gets personal attention and feedback.
What is included in the price?
Tuition, 25 nights of accommodation, three vegetarian meals a day, the training manual and course materials. The investment depends on the room you choose — ask us for the info pack. See dates and what is included.
Where is the training held?
At True Nature, in the green mountains of Chiang Mai, Thailand. You live on site for the whole training.
What does a typical day look like?
Early meditation, a morning asana practice, teaching methodology and practice teaching, then theory, philosophy and anatomy in the afternoon, and an evening practice. Sundays are for rest. See the TTC daily schedule.
Will I be able to teach after the training?
The training gives you the foundation, tools and practice-teaching experience to start teaching with confidence. Many graduates also join simply to deepen their own practice.
Can I join if I am not sure I want to teach?
Absolutely. Plenty of students join to deepen their own practice and understanding, and decide about teaching later.
When is the next training?
We run two 200-hour Yoga Teacher Trainings in 2027: 1 – 26 June and 1 – 26 September. Each is 25 nights on site, with a maximum of 20 students. See training dates.
