Our philosophy

Simple, balanced living

"True Nature" is about who we are underneath all the busyness. Here is what guides how we live and how we run this place.

Our Philosophy: overview

  • Slowing down

Taking a step back from busy schedules and the pressure to chase more. Relaxing, breathing freely, and seeing life from a place of balance.

  • Simplicity

Simple food, simple rooms, simple routines. Less to manage leaves more room to notice what matters.

  • Nature

Living in a way that respects and co-exists with nature: growing food, respecting animal and plant life, and building lightly on the land.

  • Mindfulness

Yoga and meditation give us a practical way to live more calmly and kindly — on the mat and off it.

  • Community

We built True Nature as a family and plan to keep it that way. Shared meals and shared practice turn strangers into friends.

  • Your true nature

Slow down, pay attention, and you tend to find your way back to a simpler, freer way of living. No dogma required.
